Load the workpiece on a moving hearth
A car-bottom furnace uses a trolley or moving hearth to bring a supported load into the chamber. It provides a different loading approach from a small fixed chamber. Describe the casting, forging or other workpiece and the intended thermal-treatment objective.
Define the supported load
Provide the load dimensions, support arrangement and information about how parts will be placed and removed. Explain whether several workpieces are treated together or separately. Chamber clearance and trolley handling should be considered with the actual load instead of selecting only from a maximum weight.
Fit the furnace into the workshop
Discuss the trolley route, loading space and receiving operation. Confirm the proposed heating and control arrangement together with site connections and any associated handling equipment. Treatment conditions require agreement for the material and workpiece geometry; a large chamber does not establish an identical process for every casting.

Before you decide
What distinguishes a car-bottom furnace?
Its moving hearth supports a defined loading and transfer arrangement for the treatment chamber. The load and handling task guide selection.
What workshop information is useful?
Provide workpiece dimensions, support and lifting arrangements, loading space and the intended path of the trolley.
