Identify the battery stream
Lead-acid batteries require their own process assessment and should not be grouped with lithium batteries simply under battery recycling. Describe the battery construction, incoming condition and what preparation has already taken place. Keep intact units and prepared fractions distinct in the project information.
Set the collection objectives
State the material fractions the project is intended to recover and the requirements of the receiving processes. A general equipment title does not establish a complete dismantling, separation or metal-production route. The proposed package should identify the purpose and boundary of every stage.
Confirm the complete project scope
Discuss material handling, associated treatment equipment and site responsibilities with the selected route. Ask what is supplied and what requires separate specialist input. The selected configuration and performance conditions are confirmed against the specified feed and equipment boundary.
Specifications & configurations.
Tell us about your material and required configuration to discuss the relevant specifications.
Before you decide
Can a lithium-battery configuration be used as the specification?
No. Identify the lead-acid feed and assess its own process requirements. Battery chemistries and constructions should not be treated as interchangeable.
Does the equipment title define all treatment responsibilities?
No. The equipment package and the associated material-handling and treatment duties must be agreed for the project.
