Treat material in a moving tube arrangement
A rotary tube furnace combines a tubular treatment space with material movement. The intended heating duty must be defined for the actual feed rather than assumed from a laboratory or industrial label. Describe the material form and the result required from the thermal stage.
Coordinate feeding and movement
Provide information about how material will enter, move through and leave the tube. Discuss rotation, inclination and feeding arrangements as configuration questions. A prepared powder stream and larger discrete items should not be treated as equivalent loads without confirmation of the selected equipment.
Define the thermal process interfaces
State the proposed treatment conditions and any required process environment for assessment. Confirm the supplied feeding, control and collection equipment and the boundary with other systems. Product temperature, residence requirements and output condition should be agreed for the specified material, with no numerical range assumed from the equipment type alone.
Specifications & configurations.
Tell us about your material and required configuration to discuss the relevant specifications.
Before you decide
Is a rotary tube furnace the same as a fixed chamber furnace?
The load movement and feeding arrangement differ. Describe the material stream and the thermal duty before choosing between the equipment types.
Are feeding and discharge modules part of every package?
Confirm the proposed equipment list and connection points. The tube arrangement does not alone define the complete material-handling scope.
