A coating-removal task
Surface gold stripping addresses a gold-bearing coating rather than the melting of an already identified metal charge. Describe the coated item, its underlying material and the condition in which it arrives. A general description of electronic waste does not define a suitable treatment route.
Agree the process boundary
Explain the product or intermediate material needed after treatment and who is responsible for subsequent recovery. Process selection, material handling and associated treatment systems must be discussed together. The treatment process and target composition need to be defined for the identified feed.
Define the equipment and responsibilities
Provide material photographs and available composition information for a configuration discussion. Ask for the included equipment, excluded stages and the information still needed to assess the route. Keep surface treatment, refining and final melting as separately identified duties within any larger precious-metal project.
Specifications & configurations.
Tell us about your material and required configuration to discuss the relevant specifications.
Before you decide
Is surface gold stripping the same as gold melting?
No. One addresses a surface coating; the other melts a metal charge. Their feed and required equipment scopes are different.
Does a stripping package include the entire recovery process?
Confirm the proposed route and equipment list. Downstream recovery, refining and associated treatment responsibilities need explicit agreement.
