Prepare material for mold making
A resin-sand mixer serves the preparation of molding material before mold production. Its task is distinct from assembling molds, pouring metal or reclaiming spent sand. Describe the incoming sand and the molding process that will receive the prepared mixture.
Define the mixing requirement
Identify the binder system and the mixture requirements with the responsible process specialist. Explain the supply of sand and other inputs and how prepared material will be delivered. A continuous mixing arrangement needs an agreed relationship with the receiving operation rather than an isolated mixer selection.
Connect preparation to molding
Discuss input storage, delivery, controls and the discharge location in the foundry layout. Confirm which feeding and handling equipment is included and what remains part of site work. The mixture and configuration should be confirmed for the intended process without assuming a universal formulation or operating rate.

Before you decide
Does the mixer also form the complete mold?
Its task is preparing molding material. The receiving mold-making equipment and handling stages need a separate scope.
What information defines the mixer duty?
Provide the sand, intended binder system, required mixture and the way the molding operation receives it.
