Define the sorting task
Electrostatic separation is a different process direction from magnetic removal or eddy current sorting. Describe the prepared feed and the material fractions to be separated. The selection should address that mixture rather than assume that all material called metal and plastic can use one arrangement.
Prepare a meaningful feed description
Provide photographs, particle information and the degree to which materials remain attached. Explain any crushing, drying or classification already performed and the condition reaching the proposed separator. Those preparation duties should remain visible in the process scope rather than be hidden inside a general sorting claim.
Agree the output assessment
State the composition required of each output and how residual mixed material will be handled. Confirm the proposed separator, controls, feeding and collection equipment together with site requirements. Configuration and evaluation conditions must be agreed; no purity percentage or universal separation capability is assumed here.
Specifications & configurations.
Tell us about your material and required configuration to discuss the relevant specifications.
Before you decide
Is this another name for an eddy current separator?
No. They are different separation methods and should be assessed against the prepared feed and required fractions.
Can the separator be selected without preparation information?
Describe the material reaching the separator and any existing crushing or classification. The upstream condition is part of the configuration discussion.
